Evergreen Landscape Facility Sold to Herndon Landscaping

We are pleased to announce the sale of the Evergreen Landscaping facility in Gaffney, SC to Herndon Landscaping.

Myra Slack started the business in September, 2005 and quickly was approved to be a DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise), Subcontractor, and Prime Contractor for the SC Department of Transportation (SCDOT). She significantly grew the business over the next 15 years and became a contractor of choice for bridge approach work, erosion control, and new grassing for the SCDOT.

When Myra Slack decided to retire she contacted Lyons Industrial Properties about valuing and selling her industrial complex. Soon after, we quickly located the buyer, Herndon Landscaping. The due diligence and closing went very smoothly and successfully closed on January 6th, 2021.

Interesting fact is that the initial relationship between Myra Slack and Bobby Lyons SIOR, CCIM was formed over a decade ago when Bobby coached Myra’s grandson in little league baseball in Cherokee County! Great memories!
