6.45 Acres of Retail Land Sold! / Hwy 290
It was a long journey with our investor client to assemble this 6.45 acre site on Hwy. 290. Lyons Industrial Properties / CORFAC International sold this investor roughly 5 acres at an auction sale that our firm managed in Jan. 2016. We sold the remaining corner piece of the property to this investor in 2018 from the Spartanburg School District. We then had to hire an attorney to handle closing out an old county roadbed running through the middle of this site after the 2018 purchase. This completed this land assemblage.
Fast forward 6 years (and after a few contracts that did not work out) we successfully closed on this land last month to a real estate developer out of Tennessee who will be developing an ALDI grocery store on the site. This property was under contract for over a year in order for the developer to acquire all of their permits and approvals through Spartanburg County planning/codes, SCDOT, DHEC, etc. It was a long road but, thankfully, it closed successfully.
